This study proposes a novel DC-DC converter topology that features quadratic buck-boost voltage gain ratio. The of the enables it to achieve superior step-down or step-up capability when duty cycle is higher lower than 50 percent, as compared conventional converters. While there exist other converters in literature, proposed offers unique such continuity input and output currents, which reduces current stress on filter capacitors, making suitable option for renewable energy applications. Additionally, unlike its counterparts have two high-side switches, only one low-side switch, allowing simpler gate-driver design. shares common ground between load source, has lowest stored with same performance, indicating compact size. Steady-state analysis been conducted both continuous discontinuous conduction modes, controller design was studied aid small-signal modelling. Simulation experimental results from 100 W prototype were used validate claims analyses.
